comment How to copy an SDE geodatabase to a file geodatabase using Python?
Thanks Ganeshnarim - I would like to automate the process using Python, so any manual copy/paste process in ArcCatalog would not fit my needs. I have also had limited success with this method, as it seems (in ArcMap 10.1) copying an SDE simply creates another link to the same database (whereas if this same technique were used on a file or personal geodatabase, a copy would be made)

comment Comparing choropleth maps statistically
The poverty measures differ in units of measurement, ranging from percent of population below poverty line to per capita income of census tract. However, in the maps, the values of each tract are represented as standard scores (z scores) of how far each value is from the population mean. Ranges of values represent ranges of standard deviation. Therefore, units should be directly comparable across maps.
