Thanks for all the assistance. Right now manually I can easily compare route-to-route by intersecting 150 foot buffers around 2 tracks selected from the shapefile and calculating the area of the intersect against the track buffer area. 90% seems to be a good breakpoint to use to determine that it is "similar". Now the issue is repeating that over 1000s of tracks, comparing each track to each other. Starting to mess around with building some python scripts to loop through each track, but it may get complicated

Now that I think about it, this probably won't work as a difference in speed traveled will result in incorrect results. So the 40th point on a track may be at a very different point of a different track even if the same route were taken.

The order does matter, sorry that wasn't clear. I was thinking of something along those lines. Will use St_simplify to hopefully reduce the amount of points to compare.
