comment Spatial distribution of an invasive specie across a landscape : what analysis?
Bayesian, least squares, standard linear, logistic, Poisson...there are many. You'll need to refine your question(s) in order to choose an appropriate regression model.

comment About Spatial ETL and how much is it used in the GIS industry
Perhaps the question could be rephrased to say something like "How do you use FME in your role?" - it's still more of a wiki question, but it's specific.

I think this is a valid and good question - it would be well suited to the community-wiki format.

comment Why can't the breakpoint be “hit” when debugging an ArcGIS 10 Add-In?
I ran into this issue AGAIN and this is what worked this time. I am running VS 2010 Express (C#) and targeting .NET 4.0. I had to uncomment the v4.0 supported runtime version and remove the v2.0 reference.

comment Reducing Size of KML file (After converting from Shapefile)
It really will depend on the accuracy of the input data (before and after simplification) and the accuracy of your satellite data. Removing point precision will also make your data less accurate (assuming it was truly accurate to start).

comment Reducing Size of KML file (After converting from Shapefile)
Run the Simplify Polygon or Simplify Line tool (depending on the type of shapefile). Don't worry about the coordinate precision for now - modifying this won't have as much of an effect.

comment Sync a file geodatabase from a portable hard drive to mother database on my main computer
Geodatabase replication is what you're looking for, but in order to use it you'll need to migrate to an RDMS from your current file geodatabase solution. PostgreSQL + ArcSDE would be a good option.

comment What are the skills a GIS Expert needs to have?
+1 @Vince. I can think of circumstances where a "GIS Expert" has no web or software development skills. For example, a team lead in a production GIS environment might do no development, but still be considered an "expert" in the realm of GIS.

comment Is it possible to replicate an SDE geodatabase including the archive tables?
The issue we have is we're working with topological data, which ESRI documentation explicitly states may break if we were to go the route of RDMS replication. My hope is that I can find a solution using our currently preferred replication method (ESRI), rather than using a different method.

The goal is to use the built-in ESRI geodatabase (one-way) replication.
