comment Using Multiple Versions of ArcGIS API for JS in Same Application
It would be risky to use both versions, especially because the JS API references other libraries. The JS API doesn't have the same no conflict functionality as something like jQuery.

comment Mapping habitat suitability using ArcGIS for Desktop?
I'm having a hard time understanding exactly what you need. I don't see a specific question in here, so it's difficult to help. Can you please reword your post to contain a question. Also, I'm not sure you need to include all of the "habitat suitability" context - it looks like you want help enhancing raster values (stretching the histogram).

comment Spatial Resolution (Scanning Precision)
The term "scanning precision" isn't common in optical remote sensing. It's more often applied to LiDAR classification. I'm unsure what you need. Can you link the tutorial and section?

comment Spatial Resolution (Scanning Precision)
The spatial resolution (pixel size) of the spectral bands for Landsat-7 is 30m. I notice that your snippet lists the spatial resolution as 25m though. Are you resampling the data?

comment calculating volume of oddly shaped water body
If you only have 2 categories to go on (5m and 15m) you might need to do the calculation twice (volume of the area of 5m depth + volume of the area of 15m depth).

I'm having trouble seeing what you mean by "bumps". Can you explain these further?

What format is your data in (Shapefile, FileGeodatabase, KML, etc)? What software are you using to work with it (QGIS, ArcGIS, etc)?

Are you working with parcels (i.e. a Parcel Fabric)? If not, the Parcel Editor would be an odd choice.

The real question now is, what will go "Not Responding" first, Windows Explorer, or ArcMap?

Do you have any experience with the ModelBuilder in ArcGIS? You can simply iterate the folders and grab the files, assuming they have standardized names. Are the shapefiles you want to merge all named something like "WATERBODY.shp"?

comment Looking for more realistic 3D terrain renderer than ESRI Arcscene
Have you tried ArcGIS Pro? I haven't used it for 3D terrain modelling yet, but it's supposed to offer more advanced 3D capabilities (including more options for illumination).

comment Extracting channel banks from DEM and channel newtork
You can try the River Bathymetry Toolkit mentioned in @GBG's answer below. It will do much of what you state above (create a centerline, create cross sections at intervals, extract elevations). Defining the river banks can be much trickier though depending on how variable your water level is.

comment Extracting channel banks from DEM and channel newtork
As far as the River Bathymetry Toolkit goes, you can use it to "flood" an input DEM as a means of estimating the maximum bank height. It will also allow you to detrend the DEM to remove the influence of longitudinal slope (among many other things). Source: was a developer on the RBT.

What type of LiDAR? Green LiDAR would give you bathymetry (penetrating the water surface) - others may be giving you something close to the water surface.

What are your input data? A single DEM? Do you have a water surface raster?

comment ArcGIS Online - Web AppBuilder: Query Widget acts strangely on Android.
As for your first comment about responsiveness - Web AppBuilder still needs some CSS work. Some of the themes are clearly broken. Hopefully Esri will spend some time bug fixing this before the next release (v1.3). I've had to customize the CSS myself a few times in order to make certain themes and widgets responsive for mobile.
