comment Trigger (before update) not working. It works in a local PostGIS installation with same table structure and data
Wow, and I was the one who opened the ticket... didn't remember that. Of course, that explains the problem. Silly me... Many thanks!

Looks like a PostGIS Raster error: trac.osgeo.org/postgis/ticket/3360

comment Invalid input syntax for type double precision with POST request to Maps API
Good question. I don't know. The query that causes the error is an internal one. Not anything I'm sending. I think it may be a bug, or wrong configuration data, on my side.

Ok, nevermind. I didn't see your last post in the thread. You need -l flag (overviews)

The GDAL driver had performance issues. So, some improvements were done during summer 2013. Those improvementes were included in GDAL 1.11.x. Would you be able to provide sample files for testing?

comment Automatically generate random polygons with a given number of vertices
Not really. Just want to test how the db works with different amount of vertices. For example: will it be able to handle polygons with 100K vertices? So, not really worried about the area, or the shape

comment Connecting CartoDB to existing MySQL database
Did you try with the SQL API: docs.cartodb.com/cartodb-platform/…. Or you may want to ask for foreign data wrapper: cartodb.com/enterprise

comment Displaying multiple records in CartoDB with common zip code
You could just enable the zip code as field to appear in the infowindow. But not sure I'm understanding what you want to do. Could you provide a link to your map?

Thanks. Looks like GRASS is going to be the solution.

comment Why can't I perform any operation over a 700MB MIF file containing 5 multipolygons? It takes forever
Yep, that's what I'm trying to do. Seems to work modifying some PostgreSQL configuration parameters. I'll answer the question to show them. Thanks!

Yes, I think something went wrong because the table looks small. But ok. Please see update. And thanks for your response!

comment ogrinfo returns a negative coordinate for extent of mif data file
Thanks! Just a question: how did you get that red polygon? I guess you used the TOWGS84 parameters and the extent coordinates.

comment GeoDjango: read geometry column in geography field
I got write access to the table, and created the geography field. Anyway, that solution worked too. Many thanks!

comment How could I generate a CRS field inside the GeoJSON object created by Leaflet layer.toGeoJSON?
Thanks! You're right. For any reason, I was thinking about epsg:3857 as a not projected CRS, what obviously isn't. Those coords are 4326, of course. Silly me!

comment min function not found compiling osrm
It makes sense. I finally used a Mac OS X machine with a 64bits kernel, and it worked. So, you're probably right.
