Ok, I don't have administrator rights so I would have to wait for it. Thank you for all your help :)

I tried with Add PostGIS layer but it gives me error: "could not connect to server: Connection timed out. Is the server running on host "www.something.com" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5433?" Database is running on some other server, not on my local computer. When showing layer in Mapfile, I'm using the same parameters and it works great so I can't understand what's the difference.

I can't connect to database through QGIS and SPIT, it returns error. I'm using the same parameters like those in Mapfile for connecting to database. Is there any other solution except QGIS?

I did it succesfully, thank you. Now I need to name some nodes, but I need to see them in some gui, because I don't know where are they just by id or something. How can I name it?

I had it, but I messed it up and I need to create everything again from scratch. So I imported my paths_3d.shp with shp2pgsql and executed file in phpPgAdmin tool. Now I have table paths_3d with gid, cat and the_geom column. Next step is to create source_id and target_id columns from the_geom column, is that right or?

It is still returning an error about the_geom. Maybe I did something wrong when creating table network. Can someone help me how to insert column in table named "source_id" but it will be filled with starting points from column the_geom from table paths_3D? this statement doesn't work: ALTER TABLE network ADD COLUMN source_id AS SELECT *, startpoint(the_geom)FROM paths_3D;

I tested it in phpPgAdmin and it says it is problem with this first statement "the_geom from"

Something is wrong with "SELECT geom AS the_geom". My geom column in table network has name "the_geom". But something is wrong with selecting the_geom or the_geom from because pgRouting function doesn't return geometry.

Ok, every node has an ID. My question still stands, and it refers to connection between MapServer and pgRouting.

I thought to have about only 10 entries. But I want to know if I need to name all nodes, or just those 10 entries.

I realized that it gives me results only when I put two nodes in a row (3,4 or 5,6) like: SELECT * FROM shortest_path ('SELECT gid AS id, start_id::int4 AS source, end_id::int4 AS target, cost_length::double precision AS cost FROM network', 5, 6, false, false); Any idea what is the problem?

I just figured it out, but of course it gives me an error: No rows found. Total runtime: 6.056 ms SQL executed. What that means? How is possible that no rows is found?

Yeah, that's right, thank you. But now it gives me another error: SQL error: ERROR: Error, query must return columns 'id', 'source', 'target' and 'cost' I don't understand what that means?
