comment How to align edge of a polygon from one shape file with edge of polygon from another shape file
try the integrate tool (on a copy, because it is not reversable)

comment How to export a high-res world map image?
note that when you export to geotif, you will need the bigtif option as you'll probably exceed 4Gb. This is more convenient to do with gdal. but the vrt is the best solution

OK, now I get it. I've completely edited my code. It could be more "Pythonic", but it should work like you want.

I would use dissolve directly on your result, you can summarize during the dissolve.

sorry, I didn't specify. floor is a function, but you need to import math module. Minimum and maximum must come from previous code, or manual inputs.

it should be row[0] = test and not test = row[0], but test is not modifiied while you are using your cursor, so you will have the last test value of your for tup in grp as output. your should use a whereclause when you create your update cursor in order to select only the values that are within your range.

comment Attribute table where rows do not appear
First check that the "selected tab" is not used and that you do not have a definition query, if this does not solve your problem, please add a print screen of your table.
