How to start with Geoserver REST api? It's deployed to Maven, so it exists also as jars. |

geoserver configuration 'Could not initialize class org.geotools.image.ImageWorker' You should share the full stack trace from the GeoServer own logs. |

Why does GeoServer copy my PostGIS tables? Ah, then you should ask on the OpenGeo support forums, the OpenGeo suite does not have a regular open source community, it's more of a commercial product. |

Dynamic SLD styling - unique colours for linestrings I agree with Ian that's the best avenue. Just creating a filter function might be another way, but you would have to create something that returns the same color for the same feature every time it's called.. maybe something based on hashing the feature contents and boiling it down to a color, but... there is no guarantee you'll get anything aesthetically pleasing, or that the colors you'll get are unique (the hash might collide) or humanly discernible (distinct colors, but too close for a human to tell apart) |

Why does GeoServer copy my PostGIS tables? That's a rather weird situation, lots of people use GeoServer and we never saw this issue. How are you "add" the table? You are not using the "create new type" functionality are you? |
