Is it possible to attain a classified raster with several classes in just one QGIS raster calculator operation? (ASTGTM2_N37W026_dem@1<=30)*1 + (ASTGTM2_N37W026_dem@1>30)*2 + (ASTGTM2_N37W026_dem@1>200)*3 it is really a awful syntax to reclassify a raster... I will file a ticket on the QGIS bug tracker, this is a much needed feature (allow use conditional rules). |

Qgis - How to change GDAL version This is the right suggestion, use always the ubuntugis repo, because it has all the packages and the latest version of them. In the standard Ubuntu repos for example there is a not recent version of GDAL. The QGIS project maintain a repo with qgis compiled against the packages available in the standard Ubuntu repositories, so sometimes it is easy to make confusion. |

How to configure QGIS Sextante to use SAGA? He means a path (to SAGA binaries) with no spaces in it. Are you sure you are pointing to the right binaries folder? Try download the "msw" SAGA package, it does not need any installation, just unzip. |

Define area of study in Google Earth before Import in Qgis Of course you can (use Google layers as background and add/draw/edit vectors on top of it). |

Define area of study in Google Earth before Import in Qgis I agree that is not clear. If you need to add the layers from Google (Satellite, Hybrid, Roads) to be used as background in QGIS, then add them using the "Openlayers Plugin" plugin. Your project must be in Google Mercator CRS (the plugin will set it automatically for you) and so you will need to reproject other layers (with different CRSs) in this one. |
