comment shp2kml license expired, looking for free solution
@danagerous IMO it's never a good idea to circumvent the licensing - a developer somewhere wrote the software, so you're stealing from them if you use it without paying. Better to pay for it, or find an open-source alternative...

Sorry if it seems like I'm deliberately being difficult - but Stack Exchange isn't designed like other sites - it's not a discussion forum but rather a Q&A site. So - the answer to your question about labelling and ArcPy seems to be "it's not possible". You need to post a new question asking how to do this specifically in ArcObjects. The reason Stack Exchange is set up this way is to make it easier for others to find answers to their questions in the future.

comment OpenLayer - center map based on lon/lat of POI
@DirkVansina I'm not sure why your dataset would return null for getExtent() - but I'm glad you found a workaround using getDataExtent(). Since that also returns a Bounds object the map.setCenter approach may still work

"Does anyone know how to modify the location of a label using arcpy?"

comment How to calculate point from lat/long, angle, and distance?
Off-topic, but I always thought that "north by northwest" was a great film, but isn't a real direction

Can you ask that as a separate question? (Stack Exchange is designed for one question and answer per thread. People will find this thread by searching on Labelling and ArcPy - you need to start a new thread for Labelling and ArcObjects)

Do you wish to modify the location of individual labels, or to change the position preferences for a layer's labels?

comment Double tap on the map not work in the chrome of Nexus 7
I haven't looked at your sample in detail, but does it have feature layers (vectors, rather than rasters)? It may be that the Nexus is firing a mouse-over event when it hits the vector. I don't have a Nexus to debug, sorry. You could try Esri support, who should have access to many devices.

Try starting with the Esri sample which works, and gradually add in functionality from your own sample, until it breaks. Then, you'll know what caused it to break.

comment How to assign correct flow direction to stream network polylines?
Here's a blast from the past - an Arc/INFO AML script I wrote in 1998 to flip lines downhill. Probably not much use now, but it does use the same approach as @MichaelMiles-Stimson suggest ;)

(1) Does this problem occur on the Nexus if you view a standard map, eg this demo? (2) Does this problem occur using your script on a non-Nexus device?
