ArcGIS: Rapid digitizing of Point Data yes i think that is the best solution! when pressing a shortkey it automatically jumps to the first item in the Attribute Window. This is normally "FID" or similiar, but you can change the order in the Attribute Table! I was able to set this shortkey on a extra-button on my mouse. This is a very fast and comfortable method! Thanks! |

ArcGIS: Rapid digitizing of Point Data there are just a few repetition in a large area. it's only one attribute (z-value) with a range of -3 to 40M in decimeter steps. |

ArcGIS: Rapid digitizing of Point Data as hgil said, i don't have any X,Y data that i can add to a spreadsheet. digitizing the points in the same order is way to complicated and will lead to errors. |

ArcGIS: Rapid digitizing of Point Data Thanks! This method is a bit faster than working with the Attribute-Table. But you still have to move your mouse, click on the item and move the mouse back again. |

python: Replace Variable in VB-Expression-File (.cal) [ArcGis 9.3] I need to know how to force Python to save a file back to "UTF-16", otherwise Field-Calculator can't use it. Any Idea? |

python: Replace Variable in VB-Expression-File (.cal) [ArcGis 9.3] UPDATE: The code works for a standard txt file, which i created with Notepad++!! but i still can't open the file with the Field Calculator in ArcGis 9 (chinese symbols)! It seems that is has something to do with the encoding/decoding (i'm not really in to that), as @Jason-Scheirer said before. |

python: Replace Variable in VB-Expression-File (.cal) [ArcGis 9.3] That code is bringing me one step closer: There are no empty lines in between. But there are still empty spaces between every letter....and no replacement :( when i load the VB-Code in the Field-Calculator, there are Chinese symbols ?! |

python: Replace Variable in VB-Expression-File (.cal) [ArcGis 9.3] Yap. Is a requirement. I need to replace the Word automatically out of a bigger script. |
