Looking for high resolution (1m or better) aerials for Turkey sorry if my comments offended you bFlood, but as a paying customer of arc2earth's i felt waiting 3 days for indication that a submitted problem was received was somewhat less than perfect customer service. I like what arc2earth offers and see great potential in using it in the future. |

Looking for high resolution (1m or better) aerials for Turkey just downloaded the trial version of universal map downloader and "Error: may be your IP is banned. Please try again later." pops up repeatedly when running the tool... is that supposed to infer they want the $60 before allowing the tool to run correctly? i'll email their support and see if they care anymore about their product than arc2earth does. |

Looking for high resolution (1m or better) aerials for Turkey unfortunately, OrbView from GeoEye via usgs was lacking coverage and was probably too old (2003) for this project, thanks for the free source though. |

Google Earth/Maps aerials via arc2earth producing cuts in PDF output Mapperz, i tried exporting to almost every other output (tiff, jpg, etc.) with the same problem occurring when data driven pages is in use, once data driven pages is taken out of the equation it exports fine... i posted the problem on arc2earth's forum but there appears to be very little activity there.... any thoughts on what changes to the export settings in arcmap might solve this problem? I have to be able to use data driven pages with this 200 page map book. |

Google Earth/Maps aerials via arc2earth producing cuts in PDF output According to James Fee's GIS blog there should not be any Google legal issues (since May 2011) using their imagery for background in ArcGIS... i'll be taking another look at possible export to pdf settings causing these cuts in a little bit spatiallyadjusted.com/2011/05/13/… |

Looking for high resolution (1m or better) aerials for Turkey Thanks for all the insights. I have just purchased a month of arc2earth for $50. They provide the Google imagery backgrounds which are good resolution but... new problem .... they have these triangular cuts into them as seen here: i.imgur.com/sFofM.jpg ... anyone ever worked with arc2earth before and seen this? |

Looking for high resolution (1m or better) aerials for Turkey What is the learning curve on extracting 1m imagery from Global Mapper after paying for the license? It's download interface looks terribly complicated and doesn't fill one with confidence it will provide what we need. We need this imagery yesterday of course. |

What other tools can complete this exercise besides ArcGIS Spatial Analyst? what tool would you use to perform "For each population shapefile feature, snap it's centroid to nearest grid point and add the population to the grid point." Seems like there should be something in regular ArcToolbox yes? |

What other tools can complete this exercise besides ArcGIS Spatial Analyst? Thanks for the quick replies. How about ET GeoWizards or QGIS? Is the spread sheet link working now? |
