Qgis OpenStreetMap plugin misbehaviour I added a note about this problem near the top of the wiki page here. wiki.osm.org/QGIS_OSM_Plugin Feel free to delete that, or get me to, if this has been resolved. |

How to calculate most efficient route passing through all the houses in the world? @Smalltown2k This gives a value for n: telegraph.co.uk/topics/christmas/6859529/… "There are roughly 2 billion children worldwide. However, assuming Santa doesn't visit the children of Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, atheist and so on parents, that leaves the 35 per cent or thereabouts whose parents consider themselves Christian. That's still an impressive 700,000,000 children in a night. Assuming three children per household, that's 233,000,000 stops for Santa and his sleigh." |

How can I determine the location of a visitor to my website? But we're talking about "visitor's rough location", so this may not be what you want. An important point is that HTML5 geolocation will pop-up a scary looking confirmation prompt. Yes the location will typically be much more exact ...but only after the visitor agrees to the confirmation prompt. |

Generate a pyramid of tiles by 1/2 scaling a higher zoom level I am very much interested in python solutions, anything I could run on a server yes (although the QGIS suggestion is also helpful) |

Downloading OpenStreetMap Data I've extended by answer to go into some of the options for working with larger files. Not as easy unfortunately, but hope that helps. |
