Difference between python window and toolboximport arcpy will take a long time as a standalone script (or part of a toolbox), whereas within ArcMap it is already part of the namespace of the python window. |

How to create a Winkel-Tripel map of countries with different colors? And yes, you can do all of this in QGIS as you've asked. |

Is there a standard data model for storing traffic volumes, layout, lanes, timing and phasing information? I've voted to close this question as it seems to be too localized and hard to answer constructively. One major issue is the fact that transport simulation software used around the world have very little standardized integration with GIS. Building a standard and creating many exporters as outlined by Jurgen is not ideal but it works because it fixes a problem for an entire nation. I would/could not see this as a useful approach on a local level scenerio as this would be much too time consuming. |

Is there a standard data model for storing traffic volumes, layout, lanes, timing and phasing information? Hi jurgen, you've helped much more than I could have expected! Thank you for your time. Would you be kind enough to post the GIS spatial database model that you use at GIP? |

Overlay is blurry on Google Maps base layer but not OpenStreetMap with OpenLayers So obvious it was difficult to notice. Definitely a mix up with projections. Fixed. Thank you. |
