I am currently working on a planning system for cycling, walking, sailing, etc. It is based on both a fixed network and a full OSM network. There is a web app for the planning of routes and a mobile app for the navigation of these routes.

Among others i have used the following tools: postgresql, postgis, pgrouting, QGIS, Open Jump, Google Maps, Osmdroid, leaflet.

Atm i am interested in fast routing solutions that allow me to route realtime on larger OSM datasets (>100K ways).

comment How can I snap lines in PostGIS?
simplexia - I used St_RemovePoint and ST_AddPoint as a way to replace a vertex (as I couldn't find the ST_ReplacePoint you mentioned). It worked. If you upgrade your comment to an answer I will accept it as the answer I was looking for.

I do the tests in PostGIS.

comment Why is pgrouting astar not consistent?
Checking the boost library the default heuristic function seems to be (dx+dy)/2.

Could it be that the order i feed astar the rows determines which vertices he will examine first. Anticlockwise (see image) all vertices will be closer by than the first one clockwise. And once he discovers the target he doesn't test other shorter routes anymore?

Any idea why that works? The difference i see is that the numbers in EPSG4326 are much smaller.

I am using EPSG:28992 (RDNEW). This is in meters. Let me try 4326. If i transform the x's and y's into 4326 before astar it gives the correct answer.

comment How do I stop event propagation with rightclick on Leaflet marker?
I used your snippet, but what happens is the same as with tmcw's solution. I rightclick my marker. It goes to the listening method. There it removes the marker (that is what rightclick should do for me) and then a context menu opens on the map where i clicked as if the whole marker thing didnt happen.

It doesn't seem to work. Have you tested this in Leaflet? And is your event a leaflet event or the original DOMMouseEvent fired by the browser?

comment Is there a way to save manual QGIS changes to Postgis to SQL script?
I meant spatial edits. It is easy to manually drag a line in QGIS but to repeat the exact same thing again is practically undoable.
