One dimensional map of the world? brilliant - yes this was exactly what i was planning to do - though I was hoping to use the MDS algorithm called "Stochastic Neighbour Embedding" but yeah same in essence. I see that you did this, already, however. Main thing I think, is that it looks pretty logical/good to me ! I mean interesting, it's own way. Thanks! |

One dimensional map of the world? ha ha, yes very funny.. but i was thinking of something that would, for example provide a mapping between 'Zagreb' and somewhere on the line vs 'New Delhi' and somewhere else on the line.. then you could plot things like population or whatever above the line |
