comment Getting points digitized in Web AppBuilder geoprocessing widget back over to original coordinate system for calculations?
Note that polyline 'alignment' feature layer is not exposed to the user. It is a single feature that's basically hard-coded in for the time being. Its coordinate system is Tennessee State Plane NAD83.

I've been trying to figure out how to do this next step. Thinking of posting this as a new question.

After fixing the indenting issue, I now get parameters showing up in Model Builder. However, I'm back at the same point as before: How to expose the derived output parameter so I can actually do something with it?

After messing around with this in a python script tool, I'm unable to expose the derived output parameter (which is really the input parameter with some field attributes filled in) to model builder or the WAB geoprocessing widget. There's just nothing in the output, even though model builder shows it as a green circle. Sorry if I'm being dense.

Maybe I'm better off working with a script tool instead, as long as I can hook up a feature set as one of the input parameters. This is so the user can interactively input one or more points by clicking on the data frame. Didn't think the Python Toolbox would be so difficult to work with.

Thought I would try this using a Python Toolbox as it is supposed to be the new way of doing things. I've been all over the help but there just aren't enough examples. desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.3/analyze/creating-tools/…
