comment ArcGIS - Export - Security
There are many other ways remain to perform export data like VBA code, geoprocessing tools, python console, 3rd party addins.

comment Do any geodatabase schema and data migration libraries for .NET exist?
Let me explain. During revision of my geodatabase schema, may be I discover that two of my tables contain identical bunch of of columns and they should be extracted into separate table. So, I change my test geodatabase and program logic to conform new schema. But there are many production deployments with old one. When new version of the program deployed to client it should preform database upgrade. And I`m looking for .net library for AO that designed to write geodatabase upgrades(migrations) with less code(like Migrator.NET).

comment How to: Conditional Symbology in ArcMap
It is normal, query sometimes differ, it depends on underlying storage type shapefile/File GDB/Personal GDB/Enterprise DB

If agreement is empty what displays in the field null or empty? If it is not displaying <Null> then query should be modified to 'Agreement'=''

definition does not require flag field. So 1st layer where clause: agreements is not null, where clause of 2nd: agreements is null

Why it is not dynamic? The datasources of two layers should point to the same feature class/shapefile. So when you modify agreement field in this shapefile/feature class results of definition query change.

you can split parcel layer in two with agreement and without based on definition query and render them with different symbols

comment Is it a bad idea to hold references to ArcObjects inside business classes?
So I want to follow best practices in software development during refactoring this nightmare(I`m on a long way of studying). So to achieve loose coupling it is better to break application into layers and separate ArcGis API through DAL and utility classes and use some interchangeable storage of GIS specific data in domain model(like WKB)?

For now I cache both geometry & features references in my BO. BO themselves hold feature`s field valued in private fields and expose them through public properties. They also have some domain logic and preform CRUD operations on features.

Thanks the answer. I'm aware of managing objects lifetime in ArcObjects, and always try to release unused references :) I worry about threading issues in ArcObjects, may be caching references in BO is bad idea, as they may reference some kind of shared resource. Because I faced some kind of non repeated errors in ArcGis with geometry and TopologicalOperator - incorrect buffer results, sudden hangs.
