Retrieve speed and number of Lanes in Google Maps API, OSM data or any other stream? from the OSM website (openstreetmap.org) you can always export the area of interest in XML and take out the info on the type of road and speed limit. but i am not sure this is how you want to do this. |

Is there a way to improve the render quality of ESRI basemaps when exporting a map to PDF or JPG? try the PNG format. If the problem continues, export your map by layers and overlay them in GIMP. |

how can i plot news stories to show how many stories include each country on a map of the world well you need to have georef data, at least your spread cheet needs to have the country identification. you wil need to join this spreadsheet to a world country shape file by country id. you should eb able to do this in QGIS |

MODIS image reprojection/ change coordinate system in ArcGIS 9.3 show us both files properties. In ArcMap, right click over each file, Properties - > Source (for the shapefile) and Properties - > Source -> scroll down until you can see both extent and coordinate system . |
