I type some code for ArcGIS Server, Desktop, Web.

I like ESRI support very much for their predictability. If I fill a case (bug) writing "I use ArcGIS version x.yz and Windows K.L.M.N. ... I have such a problem..." then I'll get their copy-pastes from "1st Firewall Questions" listed below: 1) What ArcGIS version are using? 2) What operating system are you using? (... may optionally include other questions)

Therefore I have copy-paste-answers.txt on my desktop.

comment Getting Uncompressed Size of Raster using ArcObjects?
I don't see importance of this question (considered bounty was added). Why should Uncompressed Size of a raster be of interest to people?

@Michael Miles-Stimson It doesn't need exclusive schema lock, I know. We hand an implementation of the same in ArcObjects (actually .NET wrapper over it) and it worked; probably works so far, but it was in AGS 10.1. Now we're re-architecturing stuff to be closer to skies and clouds and got this issue.

@Vince They don't let me in to ideas.esri.com . Because I troll too much on them.

Quite literal answer; though I don't have an idea what 'a toolbox generator' could be if the format is known to esri only.

@KirkKuykendall : good idea. Maybe it may work to level 1: you can deserialize and serialize some binary crap. However I don't expect anything useful. I found .tbx is in this ancient format: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COM_Structured_Storage

comment Guidelines for organizing Python Toolboxes (.pyt) in ArcGIS
"the idea to create one PYT file with 500-1000 or more lines of code does not look good to me". U're not alone, Alex. Today I promptly stated that .pyt is an invention of sick mind. And I won't regret it.

comment Why do you use ArcGIS for Desktop?
(Marketing alert). If you're in the utility sector specifically in water and wastewater; find GEOSECMA. I'd like to hear some critics on it. (Sorry, I couldn't bash that FORTRAN style vs our Marketing dpt.)

Actually, Python toolbox is an invention of a pervert mind. .pyt file is a valid python file however no Python IDE will recognize this fact. Further that led to other perversions. Some guys made a good job adding .pyt syntax highlighting to GitHub.
