How to have QGIS show the number of points that overlay the raster polygon? That looks like what I need. Thanks. |

How to have QGIS show the number of points that overlay the raster polygon? They're very irregularly shaped. Something similar to softwright.com/tap5covmap1.jpg, with the red raster polygon being a superset of the green raster polygon. |

Why does QGIS Polygonize ignore the no data value? @lynxlynxlynx -- that's the odd thing, I've got some of the old png files and they /still do/ import properly, though I can't find any real difference between the files. They're both two-color PNGs, every pixel is either transparent or red. However, QGIS pulls the transparency pixels from one as the data and the red pixels from the other as the data. I updated from 1.7.3 to 1.8.0 to try to resolve it, which didn't have any effect, |

How to insert geometries from shapefile into existing table? From what I can tell (hub.qgis.org/issues/3710), postgis manager will be replacing SPIT, as it allows to append to a table. I'm not really asking about tools, really, though, but more about how the schema itself should be set up. |

Running database operations against a stored GIS geometry Right, I plan to script this off eventually, but right now I'm just trying to find out how to do it. When you say to SELECT FROM other_table_name, are you referring to the geometry table created in the schema that contains the various geometry items that go into each saved item? Basically, I'm trying to figure out that SELECT statement. As far as i can tell, it just gets saved in as a collection of geometry objects into a table and schema which is then saved in the geometry schema. I found the unions, differences, etc. utility subs, but I'm not sure how I SELECT the saved geometry to use it. |
