How would I go from a set of points representing routes to a set of map tiles for online consumption? The other questions/answers were not what I was looking for either. The question is about creating map tiles. The answer I found was TileMill (which uses Mapnik). |

How would I go from a set of points representing routes to a set of map tiles for online consumption? This question is about generating static tiles not vector layers like the possible duplicate that was flagged, gis.stackexchange.com/questions/23993/… |

How to open popup menu on right click in Leaflet Won't this only create a pop-up bubble, not an actual context menu? |

ArcGIS / Google Earth Alternatives FWIW, I've loaded a collection of PolyLines in QGIS from a KML file before. So, it's not limited to just points. Also, I'm not sure what base map you're trying to use but there's a good QGIS plugin which gives you all of the popular web maps as base maps (i.e. Google Maps, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) |

How would I go from a set of points representing routes to a set of map tiles for online consumption? I will have hundreds of routes that need to be displayed simultaneously and the map will need to be viewed on many different devices. Imagine if you are plotting all of the highways and interstates in the U.S. I don't think drawing them on the client-side would be the best solution, would it? |

Import polylines and polygons into QGIS from CSV @TimFowler Please let us know what you ended up doing. I am in a similar situation, but I don't think the import option above will work for me. Thanks! |

How would I go from a set of points representing routes to a set of map tiles for online consumption? Thanks, but I'm looking to combine something into the actual tiles, not draw on top. |

How would I go from a set of points representing routes to a set of map tiles for online consumption? I think my question is different since I don't want to generate the route in open layers. I want my routes to be plotted on rasterized tiles and then served to a front end like open layers. |

How would I draw and visualize custom maps based on OSM data? I've read that you can run the EC2 image on your own machine using VirtualBox. |
