When to use Model Builder over Python Scripting and vice versa? +1 NESTED LOOPS & arcpy.mapping! I like the ability to make calculations within a script and add them to attribute tables or better yet to the map layout (area of each wetland type for example). |

Open related files with a hyperlink You might try putting the files into a geodatabase and relating them with a relationship class. |

Field calculator error In 10.0 the default interpreter is VBscript. Any chance you haven't selected Python? |

Export each layer in map to a separate image File names can't have spaces, but aliases can. Avoid the spaces in your file names and rename them in your table of contents. You can chance the alias manually if it's not a huge number of files. If you're using ArcGIS 10.1 there's an arcpy function to automate the process. resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//… |

Export each layer in map to a separate image Couldn't you just use underscores instead of spaces? |

Error when creating insert cursor in arcpy This was almost a year ago, I can't really remember the context of the solution. You might be better served to post your own question including your code! |

How to make a GIS inventory? It never hurts to start out by taking a visual inventory and sketching out a design before you get into attacking an old server with python. |

Failed to delete a domain from the database Linestring or poly boundary is self-intersecting sounds like more of a topology error than a domain error. |

Failed to delete a domain from the database You could just disassociate the domain with the field and leave it in the geodatabase. I don't think it would harm anything to have an unused domain. Although if your domain is associated with a field, that's likely why you can't delete it in the first place. |

Arcpy crashes in loop geoprocessing (general behaviour) You'd likely need to use arcpy.Delete_management() as opposed to del |
