In GIS world I started to work with MapInfo then ArcView, ArcMap. Also I work with ERDAS and Landsat7 satellite images. Since last year I use Open Source and QGIS. I love Open Source and QGIS! But I still have loads of questions in using QGIS.

The more I find out about QGIS, the more I love it!!!

@AndreJoost I downloaded images from USGS website. The images were layer stacked and have 1-5 and 7 bands. I have checked my files now one file has Datum - WGS 84 Zone 42N and another one is WGS 84 but Zone 43N. I am going to put the same CRS and layer project. Thank you!

Thank you. That is my problem. I don't have all ETM band files, I don't have ENVI or ERDAS and licenses for it. I have only two jpg files one of which is TIR band 4 (I used this file to create polygon). I took it from USGS website. I am also interested in size of vegetation. Any simplest ways to get this information from the raster files?

I do not have a license for Arc and because of this I learned about QGIS and OpenSource which is very useful.
