comment Transform GeoJSON geometry to WKB
For reference, the PostGIS docs, Chapter 14, include an easy-browsing, one-page list of the SQL/MM std "ST_*" functions here.

comment PostGIS - default spatial reference and Z value on insert or geometry update?
thanks! Besides functions, is there a mechanism to set default values for a geometry, e.g. via DDL, the way one can for any other kind of column? Conceptually it is the first idea that springs to my feeble mind, and I have certainly checked the docs, but I'm no expert and could easily have missed something.

comment set Default projection in postgis table
anybody know an answer for this? I've got the same case - I don't want to mix SRIDs, but some software tries to insert geometries that don't specify an SRID. I want those inserts to succeed (in other words it is safe to assume the geometries are in the SRID of the table)

comment Generalizing (simplifying) polygon shapefile or feature class in ArcMap while preserving topology?
interesting. first the shapefile, and after your comment, the feature class. slightly different results in that visible gaps and overlaps occur in different locations, and when I add the output to the topology add add rules for it, no errors are found, at least with the default settings I applied when I created the topology. Odd. I'll have to monkey with this more on Monday. Thanks for the attention.

comment Generate GeoJSON from MongDB Query
sorry, meant 'brackets' in that comment, not 'braces'. instead of "features" : {blah blah} it should be "features" : [{blah blah}]

comment Generate GeoJSON from MongDB Query
and on a bit more inspection, I see that the entire value of each of the 3 elements is almost valid geojson - first replace those objectid values like I described, then geojsonlint complains thusly: "A FeatureCollection's "features" property must be an array." If you enclose the value of the "features" property in braces to make it an array, it parses correctly.
