Is it possible to define a No SQL model for spatial data? if there is a question which appears to be a duplicate, you can vote to close it; keeps things cleaner. Also, since we have few users over 500, may need a mod flag to get it actually closed. |

Best open source operating system for open source GIS? I'd recommend at least making this kind of question with no "right" response Community Wiki. Often, subjective questions (ones asking for "best", which can turn into religious wars) will see close votes on other stack exchanges; don't think we've gelled any kind of practice here yet though. |

What's the difference between a projection and a datum? I wonder if this would be best as a community wiki, where we could collectively roll all of the answers up into a single, combined best answer. I'm personally not especially fond of broad questions where the answers are easily found on wikipedia, etc. |
