May 2	comment	Duplicate an in use GeoDatabase If it's a file geodatabase, I don't think you are going to be able to copy it while your map services are hitting it, due to the locks that will be place. I've had to do this before (several years ago) and had to programmatically stop the services, do the database work, then restart the services.
