How to use WKT in Google Map V3? If you dont want the unfilled polygons to blend with the first one set the zIndex attribute of the first polygon to 1 and all the other polygons' zIndex to 2 for example. That way the polygons coming after the first polygon will be displayed on top of the first one and since they will only have a stroke visible, then no blending should happen. |

How to use WKT in Google Map V3? Yes. Its possible. When you iterate through the polygons, for the first one use the fillColor: "#your_color_code", fillOpacity: 0.35 and for the rest don't use fillColor and fillOpacity but strokeColor: "#your_color_code" and maybe strokeOpacity |

How to use WKT in Google Map V3? Convert all your WKTs using this tool, and collect all the polygons you get into an array. Then if you only want the first polygon to be transparent (to some extent), then use the setOptions command. For example: wktpolygons[0].setOptions({fillOpacity: 0.35}); |

kml divide map into regions Slice it up the way Mapperz pointed out, then import it to Google Fusion Tables and then use the Google Fusion Tables layer in case you want to display these region on a google map and have them clickable. |

Displaying a dynamic KML file on Google Maps as it is on Google Earth Don't get me wrong but "refreshing" results in data download. That is what BradHards mentioned. |

polygon color changes automatically when zooming map What are the criteria that the zip codes are colored according to? Do those parameter change when you zoom in/out? Does the color really change or does it just become darker/less transparent? Since you havent shown any code its hard to answer this question. But if the polygon gets darker that might mean that new overlapping polygons are getting added to the map. |

How to draw straight lines inside google map polygon You can still draw lines, using the centroid as the origin. All that you have to do is playing with headings then. |

Fetch Google Map tile, without using Google Map API I think as long as the Google watermark is on the material, you are good to go with whatever solution you choose. |

How to calculate a new bounding box that is 80% of the actual bounding box returned by google map? Personally, I don't think that two dead simple pithagoras theorem could seriously make this approach inefficient. Do you have any other approach to share? |
