No way to De-authorise ArcGIS Server? How to get license back? I think this sceanrio is one of the many reasons that ESRI introduced EDN. If you have EDN, you have a copy of everything you need for development, so you don't need to use a production license in development and then try to shunt it over to a live system when development is done. |

SDE views not showing values in joined table Compress only applies to SDE data; Compact is used for Access databases and there's no file-based "compress" or "compact" that I'm familiar with. |

How can I add an interactive map to a PDF? I need to research this a bit more thoroughly, but I don't think that either solution will work for me. Our target market is very unsophisticated so my directive is to embed the map into the PDF, which appears to be impossible for either GeoPublisher or OSGEO. I could add a link to the GeoPublisher document from the PDF (which might work), but I can't imagine our target market being able to boot from a LiveCD to view the annual report/map. Again, I'll continue to research and thanks for the tips. |

What are the key features of a web map? Your description is analogous to someone attempting to build a vehicle. "It should start with wheels, have some lights, and some safety features. What else is necessary?" I don't know, will you be transporting things or people? Is it just point A to B or does it need to travel in style? Similarly, a "key feature list" for a GIS app is going to depend on what exactly the app is going to be used for. |
