comment Best options for video card in laptop to use for GIS with Arcscene
Agreed. Nothing special needed to run ArcGIS and ArcScene. If you also use newer version of AutoCAD then those utilize the graphics cards. Also ArcGIS Pro utilizes the videocard - feels a bit like autocad when drawing and editing. BUT, you don't have to worry about that either because it will be a decade before PRO is feature-rich enough to rival the current ArcGIS desktop.

comment Spatial join of polygon to point not transferring attributes in ArcGIS for Desktop?
Can you confirm your Target and Join feature classes were correct and that join operation was set to "one to many", not the "one to one" default, and match option "intersect"? I've encountered some strange behaviour regarding dissapearing attributes in 10.3 myself. When copying and pasting from one layer to another with the same field structure, attributes are nullified in 10.3. Not sure if this is related but there may be a bug...

comment ArcObjects interface to construct circles with segments instead of arcs
You could generalize the circular arc geometry. This will create straight segments.

You need to click Apply in ESRI products, clicking OK is not enough as it cancels the changes.

comment Losing elevation values converting to CAD in ArcGIS for Desktop?
You want to import the elevation entity property and use it to label contours in ArcMap? Is this purely cartesian or is there an actual cordinate system used in the source data? When you examine the entity in autocad, does it actually have an elevation? In other words, are the entities actually 3D. If the source drawing was used for plotting plans, many draftsmen ignore the 3D attributes so that such drawing are a medley of 2D and 3D features. I recomend to scrutinize the source drawings and ensure all is correct in autocad before attempting to import to ArcGIS.
