Validating Values in Multiple Fields in an Attribute Table Thanks PolyGeo. I'm working with a Standard license, so I don't have ArcInfo. Unfortunately, the direction I got from my manager is that I am allowed to write a script, but he won't let me fork out $2500 for the Data Reviewer license :( |

Setting More Than One Workspace Thanks Polygeo. I didn't realize that functionality exists in ArcGIS. I read through the docs, but there are some things that I want to do, that I'm not sure this tool doesn't. I am going to post a new question about this and see if I am missing anything. |

Setting More Than One Workspace Yes, both the table and the field in each table have the same name. I am writing some verification coding (i.e the feature classes are going to a client. I want to make sure the values in the feature classes are correct. I have people entering data into the feature class attribute tables by hand from some field surveys. I am writing some code to make sure the values that the data entry person entered is correct according to our known lists. I'll eventually be checking for capitalization, field length, etc) |

How to embed a PDF into an Excel spreadsheet? I did, but I was working in GIS using the exportreport function and exportpdf. I figured some GIS guru out there may have already attempted something like this. Also, someone edited my tags to weed out the actual functions I was using and made it more generic. I'm going to fix that. |

Esri Technical Certification: Arc Gis Desktop Yes it does. He said "Where can I find books or course material for esri arcgis desktop" That books is for ArcGIS desktop. Also, in addition to that, he also wanted to know about developer certification. |

Measuring Script Writing Competency Thanks for the suggestion Alan. That might work as a practical exercise, but I need to have some sort of measurable score or matrix that I can use for skills training, task allocation and eventually to reflect pay rates. |
