GIS Analyst at present. Currently learning .NET development. I learnt to program in python by myself and in my spare time I read books, play the drums and go hiking.

comment GROUP BY clause in the UpdateCursor arcpy.da
for anyone looking for an answer: the way to do this is by including the objectID in the sql clause even though you don't want to show it, it won't work otherwise... sql = [None,"Group BY r_Identity, ObjectID"] see: forums.arcgis.com/threads/…

comment how to load in_memory data as input for an ARCGIS 10.1 model?
because I need the model to be eligible to get parameters in Arcgis runtime, by clicking on map, by non-GIS personnel, which don't have access to shp or gdb.

the source data should be on the in_memory for the further packaging into a geoprocessing package for further use (if it's a general tool it's not useful to hard-code the stops as always coming from a specific shp with the same features every time.

I tried putting them on the network using network analyst, and tried from there to load them into in_memory with limited success.
