Can you try adding in a delay? For example maybe not everything is actually loaded when the open document event is fired. Delay the code by 15 secs and see if works that way. I'll attempt as well. Also did the startup function run without an explicit startup() run call?

Try changing inSurface = "C:/B3061239/!!! WORK !!!/RAS_for_maxmean/" to "inSurface = r"C:/B3061239/!!! WORK !!!/RAS_for_maxmean/" The change is the raw string "r" its hard to see the change.

Try removing polygons.deleteRow() from the code. It's just the index. For example "myList = [A, B, C]" a = index 0, b index = 1, c index = 2 and so on
