comment Running PostGIS ST_ClusterWithin on large dataset?
@dbaston great answer. Lots of options to try. I have used GROUP BY on a much larger sample and it worked. So going to now add a relevant attribute to their entire set and run the ClusterWithin again.

comment Running PostGIS ST_ClusterWithin on large dataset?
@dbaston am on 2.2.1, so maybe I will have to GROUP BY, however, I was hoping this method would give me the aggregated areas to then add an attribute back to the original polygons. Bit of a chicken and egg!!!

comment Node GDAL for ogr2ogr conversion
yes you are correct. Strange thing is that it is operating system specific. If i install it on OSX it is there as a driver.

comment CartoDB - feature appears only on some scales
@iriberri i think its the refresh time. I added refreshTime: 2000 and it seems to really help. Going to implement a security definer - blog.cartodb.com/…

comment WGS84 to OSGB, using VB script
If you would like a more accurate conversion you will need to use OSTN02 transformation rather than Helmert. Not sure if this exists in VB though but you can download the info from the OS website - ordnancesurvey.co.uk/business-and-government/help-and-support/…

comment ogr2ogr failing to open/convert GML
Just to let you know you can convert MasterMap GML with plain OGR2OGR, you do not need a GML reader. Something like this should work ogr2ogr -f GeoJSON output.json /vsigzip/mastermap.gz This will read straight from the GZip file rather than extracting to GML first
