comment Processing “Join by attribute” issue
Are they the same type? That is are they both text, for example? Or is one a number and the other text?

What about turning off Gamma Stretch? or adjusting the settings for min/max to 0.5 or something...

comment QGIS won't display GML features
It would be good to see your FME workspace. How you created the GML... As GML is a type of XML, there are a lot of XML transformers that can help you.

comment Actual slope between two points from raster slope value
Agreed, @FelixIP. I think the best you could do is work out the average slope between those two lines, which is not the same thing.

comment Actual slope between two points from raster slope value
What software are you using? can you include some screenshots to indicate what you're trying to do. Do you just want to extract the values from your slope raster in a straight line between the two points? Do you want the average slope between those two points? I'm a bit unclear what you're trying to do. Please edit your question to clarify.

comment Transfering features class from ArcSDE to File Geodatabase using ArcPy?
Have a look at this post. fme_db_operation was the key. Might help here too.

comment Having arcpy.da.SearchCursor access only selected row in attribute table?
He means that in order to have a selection, you need to open the layer in a map document first. You can't have a selection on a feature class on disk. However, having said that, you can use a where_clause to only search features which meet a criteria. Like you would in a selection. You can use search cursors on layers in a map document and they'll honor selections.

comment FME 2016 - FeatureMerger, row data to columns
From what I can see, you want the maximum value in each column for every id. If so, then in fact, Jorge's answer is correct. However, rather than applying the 'sum' function, you need to specify maximum attribute.

comment Multi-selection from Combo box in Python AddIn?
My understanding is that combo boxes in python addins behave the same as they do in the rest of ArcGIS. That is, you cannot select multiple values in a single combo box. For example, the scale drop down is a combo box. You cannot select multiple scales. Similarly, you cannot select multiple values from the "zoom to percent" combo box in the Layout. Hope that clarifies.

comment Unwanted spaces being placed in shapefile text fields by ArcGIS Desktop?
If you don't want them to appear in your DDP for printing, can you put a definition query on your DDP layer to not include records with spaces?

@MarkIreland, will specifying a template gdb only write the feature classes with data in them? I think I know the answer...

Of course I could! I totally forgot about that option. I'm going to try that when I get back to the office. Thanks.

comment Arcgis dissolve output has greater area than inputs
This looks a lot like Northern Territory, Australia. If so, I suggest using GDA_1994_Australia_Albers projection (EPSG: 3577). You can set your data frame to that projection, and calculate geometry on your area field.

comment Limit to number of items using 'IN' SQL syntax in arcmap/arcpy?
If there are duplicates in your lists, you might want to have a look at using sets instead. According to this post, sets are faster for determining if an element is in a set.

comment arcpy.da.UpdateCursor updating field based on the previous row
A couple of comments, firstly, it could be a copy/paste thing, but it doesn't look like your indentation is correct. Secondly, I'm not sure you're using cursors correctly. I'm a bit confused as to why you have a nested for loop in your UpdateCursor. Can you clarify what you mean by "Good links" and "bad links"? You could also try using the next() method to get the next row rather than the previous row.

comment Remove duplicates from a field
+1, FYI, there is no need to make v into a list. ','.join(v) works when v is still a set.

Once you've done that, to get the second element of the list called fields, just fields[1].

comment Arcpy get values in the 2nd field of every table in a geodatabase
Have a look at arcpy.listfields. Also you should be using arcpy.da.searchcursor instead.

No, I don't think that's true. There's no need to publish an MXD to save lyr files.
