I've been in the geospatial industry since 2002. I primarily use ArcGIS, MapInfo, and FME. But I'm interested in learning QGIS, GRASS and other open source GIS software. I'm also in the process of honing my Python skills. My current interest is in PostGIS.

Equal area projections are not suitable for measuring distances. Only areas.

This is not necessarily GIS related. It should be on the blender SE site.

what about base layers? Like ESRI backgrounds? Also, if the answer worked for you, please accept it.

Look at the symbology tab of the properties dialog. Someone has set the descriptions based on the values.

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it doesn't fit within this scope of questions allowed on this site.

comment How to write feature types with different geometries using Schema(From Table) to FME FileGDB using FME?
I've tried doing this before. The issue I had was that I didn't have any features to add to the geodatabase and I couldn't create blank feature classes. I ended up writing the lines of the spreadsheet to the feature classes and then deleting them manually.

comment Is it possible to export my FME workbench canvas as a JPEG?
That works for small workspaces but not for very large ones.

comment FME - Is there a transformer to snap point on point of nearest line?
I think that's right. You may want to try both options and compare outputs. You can also use a neighbour finder if you want to identify closest points.

Units are the units of your coordinate system. It will snap to closest one unless there is a group by option. I'm on my phone so can't check that. But both point and line will need to have that attribute. That way you can force snapping on groups of features.

No one knows how to do this?

What software are you using? Do you just want the average NDVI value for those intervals?

comment Spatial join using FME
Do you have "Use Bounding Box" set to "Yes"? Also, I've had mixed results with the SpatialFilter. Setting your test to "Intersects" should be fine with your filter as your polygon and your candidate as the points.

comment How to find intersections of lines less than 45° in FME
Thanks for the answer. I have thought of using the LineOnLineOverlayer as I mentioned in my post. It sort of gets me there, but not completely. +1 for your first stackexchange post. Thanks.

comment How to find intersections of lines less than 45° in FME
I had thought of this. It won't work on its own as I need to find angles of intersections not angles of lines. I have used it in my final solution, however.

A NeighborFinder transformer is probably the way to go with this. It can store all neighbours within 300m in a list.

Ideally I need an fme solution. However I am happy to see an arcpy solution too. I may be able to incorporate it into my fme model using a python caller.

How about using a neighborfinder or a spatialfilter transformer?
