I'm not sure if it is the right way or not, but I just deleted all the features when the connection was open, and then imported the XML workspace. I really appreciate if anybody can shed some light on it.

I mean the actual metadata. I think I can get the Map Service information via a JSON request (am I right?!), but I don't know if the actual metadata could be available.

I think the Lon/Lat is just a degree version of the same coordinate system in decimal format. Does it make sense?
