comment How to georeference PNG images using QGIS?
I agree, my question is a duplicate. Wondering if there is a way to make the other question a little easier to find? I did try many search terms.

Are you certain that your lat/longs are correct? Latitude is the Y axis, longitude is the X axis (I've got these backwards multiple times). I suspect QGIS is fine, and your data is incorrect.

Could you add which part of the world you are in? I'm wondering if OpenStreetMap might be of use.

comment How to zoom to point boundary using OpenLayers?
This does make sense, but strangely firstExtent.extend(secondExtent) is undefined (both firstExtent and secondExtent have bounds that exist).

comment Why ST_Intersects() returns one row more than expected?
Why would this happen with ST_SummaryStats() though? Surely that is being calculated on all of the raster data that intersects?

Do you know if there is a way of handling data on two separate layers? I have the two points style differently (I could also try to have them on the same layer but with separate styles I suppose).

comment Using PostGIS for a large trajectory dataset
If appropriate, there is also a package for connecting R to Postgresql (cran.r-project.org/web/packages/RPostgreSQL/index.html) which can be a convenient way of reading/writing from the database for non-spatial analysis (as R does not handle geometries).

Not entirely clear on how I use st_node here - can I use it before st_intersection?

comment How best to fix a non-noded intersection problem in PostGIS?
That is a great presentation (thanks @PaulRamsey). How should I use ST_Node and ST_Dump? I imagine I would need to use them near this part of the function, but am not certain: st_intersection(''SRID=''||st_srid(%2$s)||'';%4$s''::text,''%5$s'') in

Yes, I am using WHERE ST_IsValid(p.geom) to filter the points initially.

You could pass an argument to this from the browser using an ajax request.

@lewis I'm not sure on how best to calculate the angle at intersections - do you have any advice on how to do this?

Are you sure? According to the docs it was introduced in Postgis 1.3.4 postgis.org/docs/ST_AsGeoJSON.html

ST_GeoJson is a PostGIS function, not PostGreSQL

Both of these questions are two years old - I was hoping that there might have been some progress since then. I've updated the question to clarify how old these previous questions are.

Out of curiosity, how are you saving the route from google as a spatial object?
