Only return the NumberOfFeatures in a WFS query Thanks taudorf - that worked a treat. Interestingly, the search time (running the search directly in geoserver) took 18 seconds - as oppose to 41 seconds when returning just one field per feature. |

Send XML WFS Request via PHP Checked this and I don't think it's the issue. I was careful to add a trailing space at the end of each line of XML in case this happened. I have added the space as suggested and the response is the same. The string being sent is: <GetCapabilities service="WFS" xmlns="opengis.net/wfs" xmlns:xsi="w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="opengis.net/wfs schemas.opengis.net/wfs/1.1.0/wfs.xsd"/> |

When do I need to use a proxy with OpenLayers? Thanks - that makes sense. I'll have a fiddle with the proxy setup! |
