comment Eliminate sliver polygons, not the enclaves
Thanks! My dataset has many enclaves and islands I don't want to lose, so I don't think generalize/clean is an option for me. I cleaned the couple of topology mistakes picked up by QGIS though, but that was not many. Would there be a way to make a cleaner union? I checked the eliminate sliver polygons from Processing Toolbox but these options are for selecting the polygons to merge, not for deciding which polygon should be merged or not.

Awesome. I have the latest version, but I had only checked the Vector / Geoprocessing tools! I will check that, but it looks like the 'union' from the Processing Toolbox created slivers between polygons that were in the same layer but did not have any topological error.. Do you know if it's possible to avoid this?

comment QGIS – Batch maps (atlas plugin style) in same location
As far as I understand Atlas iterates through each feature of the 'coverage' (shapefile), so because each current shapefiles are made of multiple points, if I merged them all Atlas would represent point per point. Is that right? Otherwise I had thought of creating lines joining all the points and then it's possible to use Atlas and represent what I need. The issue then is that it centers around the feature while I want to keep the same extent.

At the moment the points I want to map are stored in different shapefiles. Different map title, generated from a field of the shapefile would be good. I was thinking of using the legend if the title was not working, as used in the plugin Atlas.
