How to Improve a Distance Model How can I calculate the field value of only one polygon using the calculate field? I don't want it to change the field values for my other rings... |

Select by Location tool dmahr, Thank you very much! Its doing everything I want it. However,it becomes very time consuming for me to have to manually export every "neighbor" order each time. What im trying to do is have a model that is able to create up to four neighbors away from the starting watershed without repeating the previous one and then give every "neighborhood" the same value. By exporting the neighbor layer each time after I will have to add those shape files back into the model. And it slows me down a lot especially when im trying to test the model in 200 some cases. Is there not a faster way? |

Select by Location tool Hey I'm sorry but I have a quick question, When I try to repeat step 1 through 3 again (for the second time) I get an empty output error. I am trying to go two watersheds away from my starting point. How do I prevent that from happening? |

Select by Location tool The lower screenshot is step 3. I only have 2 layers to start with. Just MyPolygons (which is a watershed layer) and MyPoints layer. I don't have MyNeighbors layer. In order for me to get a Neighbors layer is when I run my second select layer by location tool. The first select feature tool selects the watershed that my point is in. Then the second select tool I need it to select the watersheds that touch my first watershed. I'm getting confused on step 3 I dont know where you get MyNeighbors layer. Im sorry |

Select by Location tool Hey, When I did what you said I got the same result as the first select by location. I made a pdf of the steps I followed just to show you. imgur.com/A10eN |

Clipping from a given point Aaron, Thank you very much for your help! Is there a way I could make my Buffer a rectangle or a square instead of a circle? Preferably a square 25 x 25 kilometers. |
