comment OpenLayers 3 custom tileSize
Thanks ahocevar. Tested for EPSG 900913 and 2180 (with projected bounds) and it is working. Clearly Your solution is better as it uses public method. Is there a way to retrieve the projected bounds using api?

Can you confirm that the alogirtm for calculating resolutions in this link is universal for all projections?

comment Error with GeoExt.data.WMSCapabilitiesStore + gx_wmslegend
I just noticed that you are using GeoExt 1.1 - i am not sure if my previous answers apply as i am using 2.x version. Still try the following: Create another button with handler. As you have access to mapPanel in this handler write: for (var i in mapPanel.layers) {var layerX = mapPanel.layers[i]; console.log(layerX.name, layerX.params);}. Then run the button it should print all the layers added to map along with their params.

I suspect that some layers were wrongly created. It happened to me once when WMS Capabilities document contained grouping tag called <Layers> and it was taken by GeoExt reader as layer. If this is the case then you need to make some changes in GeoExt reader (i can give u hints) or iterate through store and remove all the wrongly created records.

I just checked and there is no need to add layers to map. Try to interate through each row in your store and print layer.params attribute to find out which layer is missing params property. The error you show indicates that params is missing in line (layer.params.LAYERS - cannot read LAYERS of undefined)

LAYERS attribute is an OpenLayers attribute containing layerNames used to query WMS source for specific layers and is set at creation of OpenLayers.Layer.WMS(). To debug check if all WMS layers in your mappanel have attribute params. Typically during WMSCapabilitiesStore load each layer is created by GeoExt but sometimes this can go wrong.
