NetConstructor.com is a San Diego web development and marketing firm founded by Christian Hochfilzer, Leo Baghdassarian and Kris Fredrickson and is composed of a tightly-knit group of highly talented and experienced UX Designers, Usability Experts and BigData Development Pros.
At the heart of NetConstructor is the simple belief that our results speak for themselves. We understand that regardless of how aesthetically pleasing any website, application or marketing campaign maybe, or how much theoretical sense the technique makes, unless one is able to deliver measurable results and meet customer expectations it's failed.
The majority of our efforts are spent supporting and delivering results for the clients of some high profile design agencies but whenever possible we enjoy working directly with firms. Generally speaking, we are called up on when clients are looking to either:
- Increasing Sales, Business Intelligence & Online Positioning
- Reducing Operational, Marketing & Support Costs
Our teams experience includes such firms as ACE Parking, Arkeia.com, Bakbone.com, Breach.com, Gateway.com, Cooking.com, Kingston.com, SK-Sanctuary.com, Swarco.com.com and various others.
What sets NetConstructor apart remains our high attention to detail, our tightly knit team of gurus, and our focused on delivering quantifiable results focused on current/future growth.

Looking for a FREE Cloud based 'Web Mapping Stack' Host One issue we ran into while conducting some comparative load testing benchmark studies was that while webfaction was great we showed a consistent bottleneck related to available memory and speed. Naturally this all depends on your objectives and desired runtime application framework your building your solution upon. One perfect example of such a bottleneck came into play when we attempted to benchmark Mapnik. As it turns out (at least on the webfaction servers) we were able to confirm that installing mapnik with 256 and even 512mb of ram failed. Errors out / max memory. Keep it simple/clean. |

What's the best way to display thousands of polygons in Openlayers? Quick Addition to last comment above -- for those who are interested - Simon at Vizuality provided a few hints which lead me to believe they will be integrating some of these techniques in the upcomming CartoDB v2 release this November. Also review some of their recent electoral real-time data mapping/rendering articles and source on their blog blog.cartodb.com |

What's the best way to display thousands of polygons in Openlayers? look at giscloud - their approach uses a customized vector rendering technique where they are storing auto-simplified vectors (based on visible view capabilities at the Z level) in binary within image files along with some custom compression techniques... then extracting the data on the client side with AND without flash support (canvas read/render technique). They also make use the Amazon cloud caching platform which provides them with the impressive ability to not only serve all these binary files incredibly quick but also detects real-time changes on the DB and just replace individual tiles |
