Also, given the massive memory requirements of the DEM itself, it's wise to close all displayed layers before running any analysis. Took most of the night to download and I am chugging away with 8GB RAM. It failed completely. Now redoing for just Sudan but stuck on 2nd iteration of loop 2. 1% every 10 mins.... guessing about 10 hours to wait... | |

I have it running off a USB on a faster personal machine now.... will leave it downloading 500+ tiles overnight and see how it goes tomorrow for some large scale tests in the morning. Just for the SRTM download tool I am very happy with this find! | |

It's funny, when I upgraded the project to Java 8, I assumed, perhaps wrongly, that everyone would be so quick to upgrade. Upgrading from 6 to 7 wasn't much of a problem. But it seems that isn't the case for the 7 to 8 switch in enterprise. Very sorry. | |
