Also, I can't speak to how it impacts the appearance, but if you have access to Adobe Acrobat, you can reduce the file size of pdfs exported directly from ArcMap by using "reduce file size" in Acrobat. We frequently do this in order to email a large file - new files are on the order of 5 to 10 times smaller. In my experience, I would prefer not to print from the reduced-size version, but it's good for viewing on screen. | |
