I am trying to define a catchment area automatically with HEC Geo HMS (ArcGIS version 10.1). My input-data is a DEM-file (raster 1m). After doing all steps in HEC Geo HMS, the catchment area (see black line in the picture) is generated. enter image description here

Comparing this catchment area with the contours, I think there is a mistake. In my opinion the northern boundary of the catchment area should reach the highest elevation point of my DEM (which is marked by an orange contour). Can anybody imagine, where the error in the procedure is?

Thanks!
