Feb 13, 2012 at 0:34 comment added George Silva @BicycleDude I know there is a unit problem, I want to know how can I circumvent it. Check the docs for IUnitConverter.
Feb 12, 2012 at 23:07 comment added Stephen Quan Okay, I checked the docs, you appear to be right. But, still I believe there is a unit problem. What units is the measure tool in? Additionally, when you convert your planar units to geographics, are you taking latitude into account?
Feb 12, 2012 at 22:49 comment added George Silva @BicycleDude I'm pretty sure also that I've would caught on that a long time ago if the distance was THAT distorted...
Feb 12, 2012 at 22:48 comment added George Silva @BicycleDude check the docs. first line of the remarks section: edndoc.esri.com/arcobjects/9.1/componenthelp/esriGeometry/…
Feb 12, 2012 at 22:46 comment added Stephen Quan I think you need to double check that. It's okay to specify your geometry in WGS_84, but, I believe buffer takes projected coordinates, usually meters. This could suggest that your input be out by a factor of roughly 100000?

Feb 12, 2012 at 22:26 comment added George Silva All my geometries are in WGS-84. The buffer method input is in degrees? Unless I'm missing something...
Feb 12, 2012 at 22:24 comment added Stephen Quan Why are you using degrees for your buffers? It is not a planar unit.
