@SophieCrommelinck - I'm not sure, can't find any news about using v.to.db in particular. You could consider asking on the mailing list or set up a feature request :)

Sep 27, 2017 at 9:38 | comment | added | Sophie Crommelinck | I am having the same problem, that I don't know how to use certain GRASS modules (eg v.to.db) from PyQGIS scripts. Enabling the GRASS plugin in QGIS didn't help. I haven't tried writing my own description file, because I assume that the problem is more that there is no connection/wrapper between GRASS and QGIS for those modules. Is there any new development on this?

Jan 9, 2017 at 16:02 | comment | added | MappaGnosis | Not having much success :( I can get the dialog box to appear with all the correct options in it and it appears to run, produces and output file but that file is always empty. I've tried a couple of utilities and get the same thing. Mind you I get that same problem with one or two 'pre-described' utilities and get the impression that some utilities don't really work very well through the Processing toolbox from searching this forum! So I don't know whether it is my problem or a basic flaw in processing Toolbox.
