If contours have an interval of 5 m you you set a simplification tolerance of 1 m, I can imagine that indeed the algorithm can't produce a reasonable output. Did you try reducing tolerance - like 0.1 m or even less? Maybe using smooth instead of generalize would be an option? docs.qgis.org/3.22/en/docs/user_manual/expressions/… | |
