If I have to manually enter the date_string variable myself, what would be the advantage of this to reading off the system:time_start Object from the Image Collection via the Inspector and add the date to the title when I confirm the export in the Tasks tab?

Ah, so I can't use `````getInfo()```` as I'd envisioned, thank you for the explanation. My criticism lies with that the date_string is manually defined and applies it to the Mosaic and the description. I would like to know if the original system: objects could be pulled automatically from the IC and applied to the Mosaic and description. I appreciate the method you outlined, but is there no method to get the system:time_start or system:index object/properties of the ImageCollections as a string for the Description of the Mosaic?
