Jul 15, 2022 at 14:24 | comment | added | bixb0012 | I know some may get tired of reading this soapbox but Field Calculator does not guarantee row order, so it should not be used with order-dependent updates on a data (there are some klugey dictionary-based workarounds, but I don't encourage them). You should be using cursors so you can sort the data either in Python or SQL before updating it. | |
